They research, write, crunch data, and automate routine work directly on your own computer, and a coordinator hands tasks to the right specialist. It runs on macOS, Windows, and Linux.

Is Klexbots free?

Yes. Klexbots is free while it is in alpha. You download the desktop app for macOS, Windows, or Linux and own the install — there is no subscription or per-seat rental during the alpha. Because it is local-first, you can also point it at your own AI models to control any model costs yourself.

Does my data stay private, and where does Klexbots run?

Klexbots is local-first: it runs on your own computer, and your files, API keys, and data stay on the machine. Nothing leaves your device unless you connect an external tool or a cloud model yourself. Do the bots act without permission?

No. Every bot action is approval-gated. Each shell command, file edit, message send, or deletion waits at a gate until you approve or reject it — the bot never acts behind your back. There is an opt-in sandbox for extra isolation and phone approval so you can review and confirm actions even when you are away from the machine.

Can I use my own AI models with Klexbots?
